If you happen to be walking in the (Võru) Estonian forest, beware of RUUP, an art installation featuring three large wooden megaphones clustered together.
Deep in a forest that’s three hours from Estonia’s capital, the megaphones act as amplifiers to enhance the sounds of waving trees or singing birds.
Inspired by the Valdur Mikita Forest Library idea, Ruup, an interior architecture student from the Estonian Academy of Arts, invites you to read the voices of the forest and gives the traveler the opportunity to rest and think.
You can sit, sleep, think, listen.
Ruup is an open library with only one book – nature.
